Earth Watch is open to all students who are concerned about the environment. The club has established a recycling program on campus and has been a model program for other schools throughout the state over the years. Earth Watch maintains an Adopt-A-Highway mile; collects cans, bottles, and paper for recycling on a weekly basis; and embarks on environmentally inspired field trips. The club is very active and does require a passion for "green" stewardship.
Earthwatch Adopts 31st Avenue
Bourgade Catholic's Planet Protectors "adopted" 31st Avenue between Indian School Road and Camelback. This means they have accepted responsibility for picking up litter from the street that is directly in front of our campus.
On Friday, Februray 24, 2012 the students, wearing orange safety vests and gloves, fanned out on both sides of the road and picked up every bit of trash they could find.
