By enrolling in the Honors Program as a freshman, students wishing to take advantage of the Honors Program have the opportunity to earn up to twelve to fifteen hours of college credit before they graduate.
The following Advanced Placement or dual credit classes are offered for the 2011-2012 school year:
Calculus-dual credit or AP Test Spanish Language-AP Test Pre-Calculus-dual credit United States History-AP Class and Test Physics-dual credit
In order to earn college credit, a student must be prepared to do extra work in these classes. Students in Advanced Placement classes must take a national test in order to qualify for college credit. The cost is $88.00 per test. Students taking a dual credit class receive college credit through Rio Salado Community College as well as high school credit. There is an additional cost to enroll in a dual credit course.
