National Honor SocietyThe National Honor Society recognizes and encourages academic achievement. The purpose of this organization is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students of secondary schools.
To be considered for membership in NHS, a student must be at least a sophomore and must have been in the school for at least one semester. Students must have a GPA of 3.2 or higher; demonstrate leadership, and completed service to others. Twice a year a committee of teachers will review applications. NHS promotes school spirit with student dances, and service projects as well as a reception for all Honor Roll students. |
