Thanks to the many supporters of the mission of Bourgade Catholic High School, there are several financial aid and scholarship opportunities available to those students who demonstrate a need.  Some of those 
opportunities are described below.  In addition, we recommend that you research additional sources of scholarship and financial assistance.  Searching the internet and contacting your school, parish, or community organization for funds that might be available is a great way to find this aid.

BCHS Staff Scholarship

Bourgade Catholic is proud to announce the availability of the BCHS Staff Scholarship for the coming school year. The scholarship is in conjunction with the Annual Giving Campaign conducted by the Advancement Department. A component of the Campaign designates funds raised and donated by the staff of Bourgade Catholic High School to a student scholarship. The staff made personal donations, sponsored by buck-a-hean day, and worked in the concession stand to raise monies for the scholarship fund. Interesetd applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 (with no D's or F's on their transcript), write a personal statement, demonstrate a commitment to Bourgade Catholic High School and the greater community, and submit a letter of support from a family member. The scholarship is open to all current freshman, sophomores, and juniors. Applications are available hereor in the library and must be submitted by March 25th. Adopt-A-Student

The Adopt-A-Student Program (ASP) is a newly formed initiative of Bourgade Catholic and its Advancement Office.  The mission of the ASP is to help students with financial need to attend Bourgade Catholic through the generosity and personal support of a mentor.  The program is designed to provide a quality, faith-based education to students with financial obstacles that prevent them from attending Bourgade Catholic.  Bourgade Catholic believes that every student should have the opportunity to attend high school at an institution where they can express their values and prepare for college.

Andrew Bunikis Memorial Scholarship

The Andrew Bunikis Memorial Scholarship, established in 2008, commemorates the outstanding  commitment to service Andrew Bunikis demonstrated during his years at St. Jerome and Bourgade Catholic. At minimum, two different $500 scholarships are awarded on an annual basis.  The first scholarship is designated for a St. Jerome student who will be attending Bourgade Catholic their 9th grade year.  The second scholarship is awarded to a current Bourgade Catholic student who will be returning to BC the following fall.  In some instances, the generosity of those who support the Andrew Bunikis Memorial Scholarship may result in more than two scholarships.  The spirit of the Andrew Bunikis Memorial Scholarship is centered on an individual's commitment to service and community involvement.  Academic achievements will be taken into consideration, but the primary focus of the scholarship is to honor the distinguished service of two individuals on an annual basis.  Information on eligibility criteria, as well as application deadlines, can be found by visiting the Andrew Bunikis Memorial Scholarship Page.

Blue Cross/Blue Shield Scholarship

Through the generosity of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Arizona, this scholarship was established in 2005. This scholarship is valued at $2,500 and will be awarded to three students. The purpose of the scholarship is to enable a current Bourgade Catholic student to pursue their education at Bourgade Catholic High School. Other Scholarships and Grants

Bourgade General Scholarship Funds
This scholarship program is made possible by the many supporters of Bourgade Catholic High School.  The funds are based upon unmet financial needs.  If you anticipate that you will require these funds, contact the school Finance Office AFTER receipt of the CTODP award letter delivered to your family in July.


Father Joseph Patterson Foundation
This award is based on financial need.  Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.8.  Applications are available online or by visiting the Finance office of Bourgade Catholic. Applications are usually due in June of each year.
