Admissions Process for Incoming Freshman Students2022-2023 Admissions Timeline Shadow Days - September - April
Prospective students are partnered with a BCHS Student Ambassador as they experience a day in the life of a Golden Eagle. Shadow students will attend classes with their ambassador while meeting other students, and teachers. Shadow days are only available to 8th-11th graders. Application Opens - November 1, 2022 Complete your online application by January 15th, 2023 to be considered for priority processing. Applications will still be accepted after this date. 8th Grade Day - November 4, 2022 Join fellow 8th graders from across the valley for a high-energy day filled with games and Bourgade fun! Attendees will participate in a variety of activities while learning about Bourgade’s student life. The event concludes with a spirited pep rally. Open House - November 5, 2022 Join our open house event to interact with representatives from all areas of our school including students, parents, teachers, coaches, administration, and more! Private tours, application assistance, and one-on-one financial aid advising will be available. Follow this link to register for our Open House! High School Placement Test (HSPT) - December 3 & December 10, 2022 Bourgade will be offering two testing sessions for students to take the required Diocesan high school placement test. Application Priority Processing Deadline - January 15, 2023 Incoming Freshman Interviews - January 17, 2023 Application Decision Day - February 2, 2023 All admissions decisions are communicated via a mailed letter. For students who have applied before the priority processing deadline, decision letters are mailed out on this date. Incoming Freshman Course Selection - February 23, 2023 Accepted students are invited to our course selection event. During course selection, families will have an opportunity to complete their enrollment process, and students will pick their freshman-year schedule. Transfer AdmissionsStudents who have attended other secondary schools must enter Bourgade Catholic High School with the appropriate credits from an accredited high school. Normally, Bourgade Catholic does not accept transfers for senior year. Consideration will be given to families relocating from out of town. Official transcripts from all schools attended will be reviewed to determine admission and course placement for transfer students. Bourgade Catholic reserves the right to not accept credit earned from some on-line institutions/programs. Additionally, the transfer student should have good discipline and attendance records from his or her most recently attended school. Transfer student admission process includes:
To be considered for financial aid, application deadline of April 15, 2023 must be met. Please note that financial aid is limited; not all families will receive assistance.
