Counseling Department

The Bourgade Catholic High School Counseling Department guides and empowers students to discover and develop their God-given potential through personalized academic, social-emotional, and college/career support. Rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ, we nurture spiritually centered, academically prepared, and globally aware individuals who thrive as lifelong learners and effective communicators. We strive to create an inclusive, faith-filled environment where all students are encouraged to grow in excellence, purpose, and community, living out their unique mission in the image and likeness of God.

What We Do as Counselors

• Provide individual and group counseling to support students' academic, personal, social, and emotional well-being
  
• Advise students on academic planning and progress toward graduation and post-secondary success
  
• Offer college and career guidance, including scholarship resources, application support, and access to post-secondary institutions
  
• Support parents through education and consultation services to strengthen student outcomes
  
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to address academic, behavioral, and emotional needs of students
  
• Connect students and families with community resources and referral services
  
• Advocate for equity, access, and inclusion to remove barriers to student success
  
• Serve on school and community committees that address the holistic needs of young people
  
• Promote a Christ-centered culture where every student feels known, loved, and supported
