Taylor Agarwal named National Merit Scholar!
Bourgade Catholic High School is honored to announce senior Taylor Agarwal has been named a Commended Student in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program. Over 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Taylor placed in the top 5% nationwide of more than 1.6 million students who entered the 2017 competition by taking the 2015 PSAT.
The young men and women named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success. Taylor represents a valuable national resource; recognizing his accomplishment, as well as the key role Bourgade Catholic High School plays in his academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation. This recognition will help broaden Taylor’s educational opportunities and encourage him as he continues his pursuit of academic success.
Taylor has enrolled in most AP and Honors courses at Bourgade Catholic High School and performed in many theatrical productions as well as playing on the varsity golf team. He serves as a leader in many clubs and honor societies. His greatest accomplishment as a Golden Eagle is his success in the classroom where he continually sets a high standard for excellence, diligence and perseverance. Congratulations Taylor! We are very proud of you!

Elizabeth is a person who lives out her faith through her actions. She once said in class that "equality is a movement, not a state of being." She feels a deep sense of social justice burning inside her, and she, in His Name, is inspired to make this world a more just, safe, and sustainable society. She is a person who lives her life committed to the idea of doing good and doing right. When she engages in intellectual pursuits related to social justice, she is inspiring to her teachers and classmates alike.
