Club 13
Congratulations and thank you to the parents of Bourgade Catholic High School’s Club 13 for providing a Catholic education for their children for thirteen years. Thank you to all the participants in Catholic Education Arizona who through their generosity assisted in providing a quality, Catholic education to the students of Bourgade Catholic. Kolton Boothman named National Merit Scholar
University of Chicago, ASU, Northwestern, Notre Dame, University of Pennsylvania, University of Alabama, Northwestern - what a choice Kolton Boothman has to make by May 1st. Each University wants to enroll this Bourgade Catholic Senior, and with good reason.
Kolton is top of the Class of 2012, a National Hispanic Merit Scholar, a member of the National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Active Bourgade Christians, Student Council and a Bourgade Catholic Ambassador. He has enjoyed all his math classes and Senior Theology at Bourgade Catholic. Kolton is also a member of Club 13 – the product of 13 years of Catholic education – coming to BCHS from St. John Vianney elementary school in Goodyear. Kolton plans to major in Physics with the goal of becoming a Theoretical Physicist. (Yes, he has heard all the “Sheldon Cooper/ Big Bang Theory” references). With May 1st just weeks away, Kolton is still undecided on which University is the best choice to help him reach that goal and will be visiting several of them next week. Congratulations Kolton! We are so very proud of you! Mission Trip 2012In March, over 40 Bourgade Catholic students, faculty and parents headed to the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation to assist in the construction of 2 homes for families without adequate shelter. These missionaries endured bitterly cold mornings, camping, port-a-potties and the joy of providing a helping hand.
